About this Multi Drop Parcel Delivery Driver job in Aylesham:

Driving a 3.5t van along business routes based around Dover and Folkestone.

Loading the van prior to starting your route.

Scanning parcels and operating a delivery system application.

Following a routing system to deliver parcels efficiently, staying within estimated delivery slots.

Delivering great levels of customer service.

Remaining courteous to other road users at all time, representing the company as a driver.

Unlike other courier roles, you DO NOT need to return to the depot at the end of your day, so you can go straight home once you have finished.

You will be assigned your own route Average stops 150 to 170 per day. Although this is large volume deliveries you will only be covering 2 postcodes, so mileage covered whilst out on route is low and delivery area is compact

Due to the compact geographical area, once up to speed and familiar with the route finish times can be as early as 3/4pm (depending on the successful applicant)

Parcels are a mixture of large and small

Paid £1.00 per stop

Option to be supplied a fully maintained MWB at a cost of £31 per day to cover rental/insurances and maintenance. Supplied Vehicles are equipped with Dash Cams and Trackers.

Owner drivers are welcome, as long as the vehicle is in good condition, but must be a min of 2.8 metre load length 1.397 load height (L2 H1). Any owner drivers can purchase from us separate Business insurance cover, Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurance at a cost of £3 per week, but basic cover of Third Party insurance needs to be covered by you.

Fuel is NOT included in either supplied or non supplied van. But due to the small geographical delivery area fuel cost would be between £10 to £15 per day
Multi drop parcel delivery driver shifts:

Monday to Saturday (this role is for the full 6 days, so you must be able to commit to working Monday to Saturday)

Start times from 07:30am

Finish times will vary depending on the route and your efficiency.
About you, the ideal delivery driver:
-
Previous van driving experience.
-
Due to volumes and paces required, a good level of physical fitness is required.

Full UK driving licence with less than 6 points and no major endorsements.

Previous parcel courier experience is desirable but not essential – van experience from other industries will be considered.

Available Monday to Saturday (all 6 days)

Have access to your own smart phone
-
Due to insurance purposes 23+ and no major endorsements or more than 6 points, also you must of held a current licence for a minimum of 2 years.

Be able to pass a basic DBS check

Due to the role being self employed you will need to have a UTR number or apply for one.
